My Favorite 5 Vitamin Supplements for Nutrition and Wellness

by | Jul 13, 2022 | Reviews | 0 comments

The vitamin supplements shelf at my local drugstore is a wild west of different types of pills, powders and even gummies.  Even when I go there knowing exactly what I want to find, I can still feel more than a bit lost and confused.  It’s just not enough to know the general idea of what you want anymore. There are different formats, quantities, and brands to consider – not to mention price – and they all play a role in the final decision.

Vitamin Supplements Can Seem So Confusing!

After filling my little weekly pill organizer – yes, I act like a gram-gram sometimes, but sometimes gram-grams know the best way to do things! – I decided this I’d write about my favorite vitamin supplements. My hope isn’t that you’ll take this as a recommendation for you regarding what you should be taking. Only you and your doctor can decide that, and I’m definitely not a doctor.

My goal is that by sharing my own experience, you will be able to find it easier to figure out how to choose your own vitamin supplements instead of standing there in front of the rows and rows of bottles, wondering what to do.

My Top 5 Vitamin Supplements for Everyday Wellness

The following are my top 5 favorite vitamin supplements that let me know I’m nourishing my body with what it needs to keep me healthy and support me as I reach for my goals. As a small note, I have talked about how I’m using FENFAST 375 diet pills in some of my previous posts, but that won’t be my focus here. I’m talking about the products I’m using to meet overall wellness goals by keeping up their use over time.

1 – IMMUNZ

IMMUNZ is an immune system support supplement that I came across a few months ago (thanks for recommending it, Holly!), and it makes me feel good to know that I’m giving my body what it needs to fight disease and infection to the best of its ability.

2 – Natural Vitality Calm

Natural Vitality Calm is a magnesium-based product I really love. I get the gummies because they’re the most convenient (and taste good too). The raspberry lemon flavor is my favorite.  I like the way they naturally give my body some of what it needs to help me overcome stress and remain calmer. They don’t just make stress disappear, but they help to support the other things I’m doing for stress control, and I appreciate that.

3 – VISIPRO 20-20

Since age-related macular degeneration runs in my family, I try to do everything I can to support my eye health. I combine the use of VISIPRO 20-20 with wearing sunglasses on bright days, eating foods with omegas, and even using Systane Ultra Hydration drops (not anti-redness drops, which make things worse, these are hydrating and recommended to me by my optometrist).

4 – Jamieson Vitamin D3 Supplements

Vitamin D3 is an important vitamin supplement for me because I doubt that I’m getting enough sunlight since I wear a lot of sunscreen when I’m outside.  So, I like the Jamieson Vitamin D3 chewable tablets in chocolate flavor. It’s like having a bit of a dessert with my breakfast!

5 – Garden of Life Once Daily Probiotics for Women

The microbiome, particularly in the digestive tract, is responsible for the health of the immune system, proper nutrition digestion and is even linked to mental health. And that’s just the stuff we know about! So, I give mine some support with some daily probiotics. I like this particular vitamin supplement because it doesn’t have to be refrigerated.

Most of Us Think we’re Making Far Better Healthy Food Choices Than We Are

Most of Us Think we’re Making Far Better Healthy Food Choices Than We Are

I like to think that I’m making some healthy food choices, for the most part. I know my diet isn’t perfect. I don’t even aim for perfect. I’d have to give up too much of my favorite treats to get to that point. I don’t even think that focusing too much on nutrition is great for your overall wellbeing. A bit of fun has its place now and then. That said, according to this new study I’ve read, we Americans think we’re doing far better than we are, and it’s really holding us back!

What Exactly is a Calorie Deficit for Weight Loss?

What Exactly is a Calorie Deficit for Weight Loss?

I’d heard about the need for a calorie deficit about a million times before I actually looked into what it was. Now, I understand that the name pretty much explains what it is. I got it on the most basic level. If I wanted to lose weight, I needed to burn more calories than I was taking in. That said, when it comes to putting things into practice, the situation became less obvious to me. I admit that it took freaking forever for me to actually look it up.

Running and Dehydration: A Brutal Combination

Running and Dehydration: A Brutal Combination

Running and dehydration pretty much go hand-in-hand during the summer months. As someone who has taken up running relatively recently and is facing her first summer with the sport, this is very new to me, though not unexpected. That said, as I’ve been researching, I’ve also discovered that the combination, while brutal, isn’t exactly what many of us assume it is, particularly when it comes to difficulty level.
