About Us

Hello there, my name is Holly James, and I am a Realistic Weight Loss Goals Blogger, who has been blogging since 2015!  I’ve recently been joined by my friend and inspiration, Marley, and together we bring you everything we know and learn about staying healthy and fit, while still having cake!

Our Story

We are not afraid to admit that we struggled with weight for many years. And in an effort to shed those pounds and get the sexy, lean body that we always see on TV and in magazines, we worked our butts off at the gym six days a week and severely restricted our diets.

The result of all of our efforts?

Nothing!

We were unhappy, exhausted, moody, and feeling extremely deprived of the simple joys that other people were able to indulge in every day. We realized that it wasn’t working and that we needed to find another way. We needed to establish some type of balance in our lives that would allow us to be fit and healthy without having to make so many sacrifices.

Through the years, we’ve encountered a lot of people who have experienced the same frustrations that I have. So we use this blog as a toolto connect with more people and share my helpful tips and insights on how you can achieve the balance that works for you.

It took a bit of trial and error, as well as a reset of our mindsets, to get ourselves to a place where we could look at myself in the mirror and accept ourselves as we are. Rather than being fixated on the number on the scale or the size of my jeans, we started focusing more on how we felt, including the energy we had, how clear-headed we were, and how joyful we felt.

Our Objective

Our ultimate goal is to show you that it is possible to lose weight, get in shape, and stay that way without having to constantly count calories or say no to that slice of pizza that you’re craving. Again, it’s all about the balance. Let us show you how easy it can be to be happy, fit, strong, healthy, and focused on all the things in life that bring you joy.
