Hello there, my name is Holly James, and I am a Realistic Weight Loss Goals Blogger!

I am not afraid to admit that I struggled with my weight for many years. And in an effort to shed those pounds and get the sexy, lean body that I was seeing on TV and in magazines, I worked my butt off at the gym six days a week and severely restricted my diet.

The result of all of my efforts?

I was unhappy, exhausted, moody, and feeling extremely deprived of the simple joys that other people were able to indulge in every day. I realized that it wasn’t working and that I needed to find another way. I needed to establish some type of balance in my life that would allow me to be fit and healthy without having to make so many sacrifices.

Through the years, I’ve encountered a lot of people who have experienced the same frustrations that I have. So I started this blog in an effort to connect with more people and share my helpful tips and insights on how you can achieve the balance that works for you.

It took a bit of trial and error, as well as a reset of the way my mind worked, to get myself to a place where I could look at myself in the mirror and accept myself as I was. Rather than being fixated on the number on the scale or the size of my jeans, I started focusing more on how I felt, including the energy I had, how clear-headed I was, and how joyful I felt.

My ultimate goal is to show you that it is possible to lose weight, get in shape, and stay that way without having to constantly count calories or say no to that slice of pizza that you’re craving.
